Setting off from our winery, after a few hundred metres on a tarmacked road, you arrive at the Montarzolo vineyard, where our Buttafuoco Storico wine is produced.
Climbing between the vines, you arrive at the top of Montarzolo hill, where an imposing horse chestnut grows. From here you have a view of all of Oltrepò Pavese, with the Po Valley below, and on a clear day, the chain of the Alps from Monviso to the mountains of Brescia.
Next to the horse chestnut we have placed a table for eventual picnics. Given that this is private property, permission should be obtained beforehand by asking here at the winery.
Descending the hill on the opposite side and passing through an eighteenth century gate, you come to a quiet tarmacked road which takes you back to the winery.
